Gloria Ken-Okoroafor, the founder of Stella-Pride Academy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Her qualifications in education include a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Lagos State University, Nigeria; a Post graduate certificate in teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Calgary, Canada, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Leicester, U.K. She is a full registered Secondary Education English teacher with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, a TESL Canada Professional Certificate holder and a TESL Canada Federation

Member.

Gloria’s working expertise in online and blended learning can be traced to her different education experience through blended and online learning at various postgraduate levels including earning a specialist postgraduate certificate training in Blended Learning from the renowned Athabasca university, Canada known for its provision of online university education.

After twenty years of working in the secondary school education and working through the ranks of leadership as a Head of Year, Head of Department, Assistant Principal, Vice principal (Academic), Head of School, and Principal in international schools, the yearning to make the delivery of modern international education available to every learner in Nigeria, Africa, and around the world irrespective of circumstances has given birth to Stella-Pride Academy online school.

 

Gloria’s passion spans through teacher education to education of young people making room for the mentoring of new teachers in Nigeria by international African expert teachers.
